I didn’t sense
I didn’t understand
I didn’t do much
But played in my own Disney Land
To grow up
To see the world
A world we share
I knew I wanted that
Even though that world isn’t fair
Lights shining
Sight waning
Knowledge waiting
Ignorance caning
Sometimes it’s welcomed
Other times it hurts
Sometimes a day
Sometimes in short spurts
I sit in darkness
Lay in the sun
Either one
I want to feel among
Looking within
Looking out
I want that kind of love
That makes you want to shout
At last I’ll say
I’ve been alive in the world we share
I’ll say at last of course I care.
